Connie Parsons School of Dance is excited to begin our 13th Dance Season and are optimistic it will be a lucky one! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in 2006!... continuing a legacy of dance which spans over 40 years in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Our Biggest news of the year is our RECENT RENOVATION and BIG EXPANSION! During the 2008 summer months we have been very busy building on our amazing new second studio to our current location. The new studio will be bigger and better than ever with a 10 ft. ceiling, sprung floor, and large viewing window for parents!
During our 2008-2009 Dance Season we will now be offering MORE classes, MORE programs, and MORE options for everyone. Be sure to view the new schedule posted on line with classes in Studio A and Studio B running simutaniously.
Miss Connie and Miss Leslie travelled to Europe this summer to attended the ISTD(Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Summer School for Tap and Modern. What an amazing wealth of information we have brought back to our studets here in Newfoundland!
CPSOD is thrilled to Welcome Ashley Penney as a permenant teacher at our studio this year. She covered classes for Erika during her maternity leave last year and received such and amazing response from her students that we invited her back!
We truly appreciate the amazing and talented David Yoon from East Rock Crew. David has taught Breaking at CPSOD and loves to share his skills and enthusiasm with everyone!
CPSOD is excited to announce the return of Ms. Andrea Young to our teaching staff again this year. Ms. Young is originally from the U.K. and is a former professional dancer with The London City Ballet. She completed her teacher training through the Royal Academny of Dancing, London, England and is thrilled to be sharing her experience and vast knowledge of dance with our school.
In addition to Cecchetti Ballet and ISTD Tap classes, Connie Parsons School of Dance now offers R.A.D. ballet syllabus (Royal Academy of Dancing)and freestyle classes under the direction of Ms. Andrea Young. We are thrilled to once again be expanding our dance curriculum in the best interest of our students.
